In Kanchipuram, Kanchi College of Education was founded in 2008. The Bhaktavatsalam Educational Trust, based in Chengalpattu, is the private organization in charge of the college. In 1958, the Bhaktavatsalam Educational Trust was established to honor Thiru.M. Bhaktavatsalam, the previous Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, on his 60th birthday. Thiru. O.V. Alagesan, a former Union Railway and Petroleum Minister, was the Trust's first President. Our institution is committed to ensuring the complete development of students as individuals who cherish high ideals in life and moral principles, in line with Thiru.O.V. Alagesan's vision. Emulating his legendary father Thiru.O.V.Alagesan, Thiru.O.V.A.Vamanan realizsed the necessity to construct a teacher education college that would suit the demands of the rural students.
